Bishop Kelly’s newspaper has been a part of the school’s history since its beginning in the mid 1960s. Although “The Knight Beat” was once a popular topic of conversation amongst BK’s students, there have been no new publications for many years. In re-building BK’s student-run newspaper in the fall of 2022, “The Knightly News” team came across decades of Knight Beats filed in a storage cabinet and realized that alumni had no way to access the newspapers features they once read and loved. With BK’s newest newspaper being digital, the staff of The Knightly wanted to honor its beginnings and create greater access to these chronicles for all those in the BK community – past, present, and future.
