In this year’s seniors 2025 vs. juniors 2026 powderpuff game, the reigning seniors were taken down by just one touchdown. Prior to the game Junior coach Mac Raeber said that he believed that the juniors were “more likely to win rather than lose”. The game was held to a score of 0-0 for the entire first half of the game up until the third quarter when junior Katelyn Staats ran nearly 95 yards to score a touchdown, giving the lead to the Juniors at 6-0. The Juniors missed the 2-point conversion and the ball went to the seniors. The seniors had a couple of honorable attempts with Mary Behrand making some great catches and runs to get the seniors within 15 yards of their endzone. Senior coaches including Jaxon Hanley and Luca Quilici had their offense set up entirely on one side of the field in order to offset the Juniors defense, and this set up worked in their favor as they gained another 30 yards.
In the final quarter, quarterback Sarah Colwell and linebacker Brooke Hutchinson switched their positions in the final minutes. As quarterback Brooke Hutchinson attempted to find receivers Mary Behrend and Sarah Colwell, they were unsuccessful. At one point Sarah Colwell caught the ball in the endzone yet dropped it and all other throws and runs failed. Finally, at the end of the fourth quarter on fourth down the seniors couldn’t quite get the ball to the endzone and the ball went back to the Juniors with just seconds on the clock, giving them the win.
