The Writing Center is a student-staffed place where experienced writers offer their time to aid other students with their writing assignments. Writing Center Consultants are waiting patiently for clients, prepared to offer their services in developing ideas, crafting a thesis, creating outlines, and even revising essay drafts. The best part about it? Writing Center Consultants can assist you with writing assignments from any class! Struggling with your service reflection for Theology? Would you like another perspective on your college application? Do you need some advice on your Problem/Solution Speech? The Writing Center is here for you.

Booking an appointment is as easy as one, two, three. Literally, it takes three steps. First, scan the Writing Center’s QR code posted around the school or at the bottom of this article. Next, select a date, time, and consultant to secure an appointment. The Writing Center is open Monday through Friday before school, during lunch, and after school. And finally, attend your appointment with a printed copy of your assignment, including your draft, prompt/instructions, rubric, and any other imperative materials. The Writing Center is located in the 700 Wing between rooms 706 and 708. If all else fails, a big sign stands diligently outside the room to greet students!

If you’re in a pinch and forgot to make an appointment no need to fret, the Writing Center takes walk-ins! However, students with appointments will take priority. Additionally, during each consultation Writing Center staff take notes and provide feedback on a separate google doc which both students and their teacher may access for later reference.
