A thrilling review of the Bishop Kelly’s Drama club’s fall performance!

Garbiela Nettles, a disinterested student, is unexpectedly accepted into the elite Doves Forge Academy, and all she wants to do is leave. Garbiela begins to hear sounds that no one else hears: ghost echoes from the remains of a long-ago fire in the school’s theater. This prevents her from getting herself expelled, though. Garbiela learns that Fantine and Clovis, two of her closest friends, are ghosts as she investigates the sounds. She also finds out that Fantine is her sister and that she is the one to blame for starting the fire. Garby collaborates with Ruth, Billiam, Colby, Riley, Mrs. Stuncher, and Mrs. Colister to throw Fantine a surprise party in order to atone for her mistakes. Her plan works well! The play concludes with a heartfelt exchange between Colister and Clovis. At the finale bow, Billiam does his famous handstand!

Generation after generation will remember Bishop Kelly’s performance of Ghostlight. One of the best comedies of the twenty-first century. The twists and turns of Ghostlight keep you on your toes. For Bishop Kelly, this play has paved the way for the future of the theater department. Thank you to Mrs. Sterling, the cast and crew of the theater, as well as everyone else who contributed. 5 stars! Legal considerations prevented photographing of the stage, but we were permitted to snap pictures of the technical crew.
