The Homecoming Dance

We enjoyed a week of festivities, including parades, football games, bonfires, and more, but it regrettably came to an end. What better way to finish a fun-filled week than with a Homecoming dance? People came to their favorite Homecoming celebration dressed to the nines.

The student council collaborated to organize one of Bishop Kelly’s best Homecomings yet. Lights, music, and a huge “BK 2022” sign decorated the Plaza. Additionally, the DJ played the best hits, from “Footloose” by Kenny Loggins to “Gimme, Gimme, Gimme (A Man After Midnight)” by ABBA and everything in between. Additionally, students enjoyed various dance forms including swing and jumping up and down.

The majority of people spent all day Saturday getting ready for this event. A lot of students ate out or prepared a feast at home. Some people went alone, while others went in groups. However, what really counts is that we all had a good time.

We all smiled and cherished the moments to be with our friends. We continuously sang and danced all night long. We swapped boutonnieres and corsages while dressed to impress. By the time the evening was over, we were certain that the Homecoming of 2022 would be one we would never forget.
